Hand Crafted Dulcimers is a family owned and operated business located in Lusby, Maryland.
We do not currently have a showroom but we do sell and demonstrate
our instruments biannually at the Mountain Heritage Festival in Charlestown, West Virginia
and at the Waterford festival in Waterford, Virginia.
Doug and Andy Hood build all of our instruments by hand, from start to finish.
Jay Hood does our finish sanding. Susan Hood coordinates our
booth at craft shows and demonstrates beginning dulcimer playing and tablature reading.
Since our dulcimers are hand made they can be custom built with whatever
woods or accessories you may want.
We build dulcimers for all levels of playing from beginning to advanced.
